Governor Ed Rendell leaves office in less than two weeks, but he is still making his opinion well known to everyone around.

Rendell  will appear on 60 minutes this Sunday to talk about the proliferation of gambling in state’s across the land.

The governor came unglued during an interview with correspondent Leslie Stahl.

Here, take a listen.

Does Rendell genuinely feel like this in is heart of hearts, or is the newly signed up talent of the William Morrison agency just playing to the cameras.

Rendell has made no secret of pining to become a commentator, spinmaker or rabble rouser on a national TV show.

You have to hand it to the governor because he sure does know how to draw attention to himself and these days that is what the media has devolved into.

Gary Tuma, the governor’s spokesperson says Rendell, “feels strongly about many issues, and is usually willing to express his opinions.” However, this time around Tuma said the governor reserved comment until his entire interview airs on 60 Minutes.
