A thought to pare down Corbett’s Inauguration

Governor-elect Tom Corbett has said when it comes down to it, his inauguration festivities is mostly filled with no frill.

However, tickets to attend his ball cost $150, and Corbett says the money to hold the event came from private donations.

Eric Epstein, a co-founder of Rock The Capital says at the end of the night its still much to do with lavish pomp and circumstance.

“Corporate sponsors want something more for their investment. Its a dressed form of pay to play.”

Epstein says Corbett should have followed New York’s lead, which did not hold an inauguration last week for Andrew Cuomo.

You can hear more of Epstein’s take on this in an interview he did for WNEP-TV, the ABC affiliate in Scranton.
