Democratic U.S. Senator Bob Casey Jr.is as much loved by Pennsylvanian’s as his Republican counterpart Pat Toomey. A Quinnipiac poll shows the two are almost notched, with Casey getting a 44 percent approval rating, while Toomey grabbed thumbs up from 41 percent.
What must be more bothersome, for Casey is that almost one-third of the voters polled said they had no opinion of either Casey or Toomey. The difference is Casey is, or at least should be a household name. He has been in the Senate for four years, and Toomey has been in for only a couple of months. Casey’s father was governor of Pennsylvania, Toomey’s was not.
The survey was made up of 1,366 registered voters, and it carries a plus or minus margin of 2.7 percentage points.(To read more about this poll and others click on Rock The Capital.)
