Five months behind schedule, the Legislative Audit Advisory Commission (“LAAC”) has yet to release the Audit of the General Assembly’s spending for fiscal year 2012-2013.

Every year the legislature – through a no-bid contract – hires an accounting company to examine their spending record. The “Report to the Legislative Audit Advisory Commission” is typically released in December, and reveals large multimillion dollar surpluses. The results of this year’s Audit will not be released until after the primary.
