Oh to have been a fly on the wall in the private dining room at the Blair House, which is where President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden lunched with newly elected governors including Tom Corbett.
The gathering lasted for almost two hours and according to what Kevin Harley, Corbett’s spokesperson, told the Patriot-News the group talked about budget shortfalls, healthcare and a host of other topics. Corbett, speaking through Harley, summed up the meeting as productive.
Since the election, President Obama has pledged to make his office more accessible to both parties and according to published reports Biden promised to return calls within 24 hours.
