Governor Rendell is pushing his brand

Governor Ed Rendell, now just weeks shy of leaving the governor’s mansion, is weighing (it would seem) all options except the unemployment line.  Rendell has been plenty candid about airing his views 24/7 or something like that. He recently told the on-line site Salon that he is open to offers at Fox, CNN and MSNBC.

Rock The Capital is also certain Rendell would entertain contributing contracts with NBC, ABC and CBS — who knows, maybe he could saddle up next to Howard Stern on Sirius.

Rendell’s Q-value — the main determinant in Television of a person’s star quality or just simply characterized as brand, must be ringing up monster numbers.

What other explanation is there for his appearances, Rendell’s face time is multiplying like Republicans in office, now in the sunset of his political career?

The governor is savvy enough to understand jumping up and down and screaming is certainly an easier way to make a living than having to close an estimated $5 billion dollar budget deficit in Pennsylvania.

Thus the noted smile plastered on his face as the clock winds down. To read more about what’s on Rendell’s mind read Salon’s latest piece on “spending war money on US infrastructure.”
