Central-Pennsylvania based Capital Blue Cross, donated $100,000 to provide naloxone to area police officers in a continued effort to battle the heroin overdose epidemic in the Commonwealth. Capital’s President and CEO Gary St. Hilaire was joined by Pennsylvania Department of Drug & Alcohol Programs Secretary Gary Tennis, Physician General Dr. Rachel Levine, and the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association, to announce Capital’s total commitment to purchase the life-saving drug in its 21-county service territory now totaling $150,000.
