The 18-member investigative team includes members of the IAEA and a dozen experts from multiple countries. The team will hold hearings and bring in representatives from Tokyo Electric Power, which operates the plant as well as Japanese nuclear regulators.

Chesapeake’s Jaw Dropping Fine

The Pennsylvania Department has ordered Chesapeake Energy to pay a $1 million dollar plus fine. The fine takes into account water wells contaminated in Bradford County and a fire in Washington County last February.
That represents the largest monetary fine issued by the DEP against a gas driller.

Paying for the Pain
