Pennsylvania should harvest Nebraska

Greg and Kathy Golazeski’s fledgling grassroots campaign to dissolve Pennsylvania’s Senate found its way this week to Rock The Capital’s political desk. As the Golazeski’s put it,”the Senate has no basis in reality.” Greg says he’s “never been more disgusted and concerned about the future” of the state. However, being a disenfranchised voter is not what actually motivated […]

Pennsylvania’s Senate Ethics Committee has its own ethical lapse

Senator Robert Mellow is but weeks away from riding off in to the glorious sunset of retirement. Mellow will retire at the end of the year, but there is another cloud hanging over the senator’s head. FBI agents and the IRS are taking a hard look at his business dealings. He spent more than $200,000 K of taxpayers money for him to rent his district office space from himself. Up until recently, Mellow owned a building that housed his district work space in Peckville.

Senator Mellow remains out of Touch

By at October 14, 2010 | 3:16 pm | 1 Comments

Pennsylvania’s longest serving senator (pictured to the right) is seemingly as mellow as can be about an ethics investigation in to his questionable relationship with Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania, which is a paid seat on the board of the insurance company. Not to mention his affiliation with Penseco Financial services, or the money he pocketed from renting out space for his district office; in […]
