The senate passed an expanded version of the Castle Doctrine. If it becomes law it will give people acting in self-defense more legal and civil rights, and the Bible is getting a makeover.

The Senate Judiciary Committee approved expanding the Castle Doctrine. Under the proposed measure, folks in imminent danger could use lethal force to protect themselves without (in many instances) fear of criminal or civil litigation.

Breathing new life into the Castle

Pennsylvania Senator Richard Allloway is picking up where the political trail went cold last year. Alloway has reintroduced a self defense measure aimed at protecting would be victims from defending themselves. The bill sailed through the General Assembly in 2010 but former Governor Rendell vetoed it.
