A Request to Suspend Nuclear Reactor Licenses in the U.S.

A group made up of enough people to fill a small city asked the Nuclear Regulatory Commission today to complete an exhaustive review of the Fukushima disaster and suspend activities and licenses at nearly 2-dozen proposed nuclear reactor projects until a report is complete.

Rock The Capital Minute

In this edition of Rock The Capital Minute, engineers at the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant have restored electricity to much of the facility, with one notable exception, reactor two because radiation levels are spiking. The Food and Drug Administration has halted all imports of foods grown, and or produced around that plant in Japan. At first the FDA intended to step up screening proceedures. In Pennsylvania, Governor Corbett is looking for every possible way to sell the Liquor Control Board, and adminstrators at the LCB are coming up with every imaginable way to keep growing the government controlled liquor business.
