In Japan, Prime Minister Kan is calling for the shutdown of the Hamaoka nuclear power plant. Kan is reportedly very concerned about another earthquake and the effect it will have on that plant. Recessions seem to only hit the poor, middle class, and the rich. The take home pay for CEO’s of large companies is higher now than it was just prior to the Great Recession.

In this edition of Rock The Capital Minute; workers at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant returned on Tuesday to find water in a fuel rod pool near boiling point. The Department of Environmental Protection in Pennsylvania has ordered the immediate shutdown of a waste water hauling company near Pittsburgh, following allegations that it has illegally been dumping contaminated gas drilling water. And today is World Water Day.
