In this edition of Rock The Capital Minute; nearly three weeks have passed since an earthquake and tsunami nearly destroyed the Fukushima Dai-ichi power plant in Japan, and problems keep multiplying. In Pennsylvania, House Speaker Sam Smith introduced a bill that would eliminate 50 members of the House. Smith believes it will go a long way toward make that legislative body more efficient.

Rock The Capital Minute

In this edition of Rock The Capital Minute, engineers at the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant have restored electricity to much of the facility, with one notable exception, reactor two because radiation levels are spiking. The Food and Drug Administration has halted all imports of foods grown, and or produced around that plant in Japan. At first the FDA intended to step up screening proceedures. In Pennsylvania, Governor Corbett is looking for every possible way to sell the Liquor Control Board, and adminstrators at the LCB are coming up with every imaginable way to keep growing the government controlled liquor business.
