Rock The Capital Minute

In this edition of Rock The Capital Minute; workers at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant returned on Tuesday to find water in a fuel rod pool near boiling point. The Department of Environmental Protection in Pennsylvania has ordered the immediate shutdown of a waste water hauling company near Pittsburgh, following allegations that it has illegally been dumping contaminated gas drilling water. And today is World Water Day.

Rock The Capital  Minute

In this edition of Rock The Capital Minute; workers at the Daiichi nuclear power plant in Japan have been evacuated today. One of the world’s leading authorities on nuclear power drops by RTC for a show and tell on what needs to happen to bring the crisis under control. The World’s Health Organization is warning people in Japan to be very careful about what they consume. This after food sources and water in some parts of the country were found to have excessive levels of radiation. In Pennsylvania, trustees at Penn State took the unusual step of halting all construction projects. This follows Governor Corbett’s proposal to cut some 182 million dollars.
