A citizens’ watchdog organization filed a lawsuit in Commonwealth Court accusing the state legislative commission tasked with annually issuing an audit on the legislative branch’s finances, of potentially violating the state’s open meetings law.

In the document filed on Wednesday, RocktheCapital’s coordinator Eric Epstein points to a Legislative Audit Advisory Commission news release dated Dec. 21 indicating that the eight-member commission accepted the audit that day. However, the commission didn’t hold its public meeting to consider accepting the audit until Dec. 27.
