Dauphin County refuses to conduct environmental due diligence on the sale of the Harrisburg incinerator.

The County is clearly negotiating the “sale price for their  asset.” As such the County has the ability and fiduciary responsible its to request the documents Mr. Epstein has asked the County to acquire for over a year.

The Harrisburg Incinerator site  is an undisputed hazardous waste site. Dauphin County is where the Harrisburg Materials, Energy, Recycling and Resource Recovery Facility is located and Dauphin County is the agent negotiating the sale. As such, the County has vested environmental and material interests in the sale and condition of the assets involved in the sale.

The County is the driving force behind the sale of the ts Harrisburg Materials, Energy, Recycling and Resource Recovery Facility.  As a matter due diligence,  I am re-requesting the County obtain and publicize:

a) The environmental assessment and/or Form D issued by the Department of Environmental Protection (“DEP”).

b) Post closure permit for  the hazardous waste landfills located  at the Harrisburg Materials, Energy, Recycling and Resource Recovery Facility issued by the DEP.
