A bipartisan group of legislators recently introduced a new Farm Bill proposal aiming to boost local and regional food systems. The Local Food and Regional Market Supply (FARMS) Act would make new investments to help farmers reach new markets, expand access to fresh, healthy, local food in low-income communities, and connect producers with consumers.
