On Thursday October 3, 2019 at the Lower Paxton Township Municipal Center, 425 Prince Street, the Lower Paxton Township Historical Commission be showing the short film showcasing the history of the Blue Ridge Country Club. This film is a look back at the storied years of Blue Ridge as told by the members who were there.

The Country Club was a major part of the Lower Paxton Community and we want to celebrate this at the event. We will have some of the pictures and some of the plaques that hung in the Club.

The video runs about 20 minutes and then the Commission would like to have a discussion with the audience about some of the great times that were celebrated at the Country Club along with stories that have been passed down from older members. We do not want the memories of the Club to be lost to future generations. The film will join our other Historical Presentations so that residents can enjoy it for years to come.

The Lower Paxton Township Historical Commission is appointed by the Board of Supervisors to preserve the history of the Township and educate it’s residents on its vast history. Blue Ridge is now a part of that history and we want to celebrate it. Your input will help enrich the event.

Please call me with any questions and if you have any pictures from BRCC that we could scan in and show at the event please let me know.

The Historical Presentation this month will be the history of the Blue Ridge Country Club. We will introduce you to a video, produced by Eric Epstein and GK Visual, on the history of Blue Ridge and its mission. We will then hold a discussion with some of the members featured in the video. There will also be artifacts from Blue Ridge Country Club that go back to the very early years on display. Come and hear from those that were involved in the history of the club.

Join us for a night of true history and storytelling by some of our township residents.
